Who We Are

Here at ASSIST NI, we are a team made up of advocates, lead advocates and the Project Manager, all passionate about supporting victims of domestic and sexual abuse, including through the criminal justice system.

The ASSIST NI service was set up in 2021 by a partnership consisting of Belfast & Lisburn Women’s Aid, Foyle Family Justice Centre and Men’s Advisory Project. Since ASSIST NI’s conception, the three partners have been working in unison to coordinate a community response where victims are our key focus. We continue to focus on building and evolving strong relationships with other support services across the region to ensure qualifying victims can access the support they need, when they need it.

The service is completely free and is delivered across the region to provide trauma-informed support and vital information to victims of domestic and sexual abuse.
